I really appreciate the in depth evaluation and your ideas for making improvements to my blog. You're correct in assuming my main goal right now is for self-expression... thus the "musings and mental meanderings" byline. The blog's creation was a first step toward becoming visible on the internet. Since then I've become more confident about initiating interaction with other online writers, although I've remained fairly private about my fiction writing. Until I've finished my novel revisions I'm reluctant to post excerpts, but obviously that day will come. Given its shortcomings and relative newness, I'm pleased with its search engine rankings. (And yes, those movie database mentions are legitimate. I was the dog show consultant for the filming of the movie "Best In Show".) I'm not all that familiar with Bing so I don't know how significant it is that I don't rank well there but when I get serious about publication of my novels I guess that will become important. In the meantime I'll check out Jordan's other posts about blog niches and work on identifying a unique approach for my blog to improve its audience appeal. Thanks once again.
